Iran, due to its special geographical location and proximity to nomadic tribes, especially from the north and northeast is one of the most important nomadic regions in the world. The first historical references date back to the first millennium BC, when a vast territory later called Iran was invaded by tribes moving from the north. At the beginning of their arrival in this country, these tribes were cattle breeders and raised horses. A nomadic lifestyle may seem like heaven to some of us, but it can also be unrewarding and bitter. Nomads are the people who migrate from one place to another. Migration is a way of our life in which herding cattle and stock rearing are the basis of economic life. The population of nomads living in Iran are classified into different groups and tribes. Two of the most well-known nomadic groups are the Bakhtiari, a southwestern Iranian tribe, who speak Luri language with Bakhtiari dialect that is The first on the list of nomadic tribes in Iran and Qashqai, the second largest nomads’ population in Iran. These Turkish-speaking nomads settle among the high mountains of Fars province, though in winters, besides the foothills of Zagros mountain.
